Do not use Normatec if you have any of the following conditions:

•  Acute pulmonary edema
•  Acute thrombophlebitis
•  Acute congestive cardiac failure
•  Acute infections
•  Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
•  Episodes of pulmonary embolism
•  Wounds, lesions, infection, or tumors at or near the site of application
•  Where increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable
•  Bone fractures or dislocations at or near the site of application

Please do not use the Hypervolt 2, or any percussion device without first obtaining approval from your physician if any of the following apply:

Pregnancy, diabetes with complications such as neuropathy or retinal damage, wear of pacemakers, recent surgery or injury, epilepsy or migraines, herniated disks, spondylolisthesis, spondylolysis, or spondylosis, recent joint replacements or IUD, metal pins or plates or any concerns about your physical health. Frail individuals and children should be accompanied by an adult when using any percussion or vibration device. These contraindications do not mean that you are not able to use a percussion or vibration device but we advise that before doing so you consult your physician. Ongoing research is being done on the effects of percussion massage for specific medical disorders that may result in the shortening of the list of contraindications as shown above.

Please do not use the Hypoxico Altitude Generator if you have any of the following conditions:

• Severe cardiovascular disease
• Chronic pulmonary disease
• Sickle cell anemia or sickle cell trait
• Pregnancy
• Active infections

Cold Therapy System/Cryotherapy should not be used on persons with Raynaud's or other vasospastic disease, cold hypersensitivity, decreased skin sensitivity, or compromised local circulation.

TERMS OF RENTAL

1. AGREEMENT

This Rental Policy forms a legally binding agreement between R-REC (“the Company”) and the Client (“the Renter”).

By renting equipment, the Renter agrees to all terms outlined below.

2. EQUIPMENT

This agreement applies to all equipment provided by R-REC, including but not limited to:

Compression boots, massage guns, altitude generators, cold therapy systems, accessories and components.

All equipment remains the sole property of R-REC at all times.

3. PAYMENT TERMS

Full payment (100%) is required before equipment is released. Payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g. SumUp). R-REC reserves the right to charge additional fees where applicable.

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the rental.

4. RENTAL PERIOD

The rental period begins on the agreed delivery or collection date. The Renter is responsible for returning the equipment on time. Any extension must be requested in advance and approved by R-REC.

5. DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Equipment may be delivered or collected as agreed. The Renter is responsible for ensuring availability for delivery/collection. Missed collections or failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

R-REC is not liable for courier delays or external delivery issues.

6. USE OF EQUIPMENT

The Renter agrees:

To use equipment strictly as instructed. Not to misuse, modify, or tamper with equipment. Not to sub-rent or allow unauthorised use. Not to use equipment for commercial purposes without written consent.

The Renter accepts full responsibility for safe operation.

7. HIGH-RISK EQUIPMENT DISCLAIMER

The Renter acknowledges risks associated with:

Compression therapy (circulatory effects), cold therapy (ice baths and cooling systems – risk of shock/hypothermia), altitude systems (oxygen reduction, dizziness, fatigue).

All equipment is used at the Renter’s own risk.

8. RESPONSIBILITY & RISK

Responsibility for the equipment transfers to the Renter upon delivery or collection. The Renter is fully responsible for loss, theft, or damage until returned.

This aligns with standard rental practices where the hirer assumes risk during the rental period.

9. DAMAGE, LOSS & REPLACEMENT

The Renter is responsible for all damage beyond normal wear and tear. Repair costs will be charged. If the equipment cannot be repaired, full replacement cost will be charged. This includes damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper storage.

10. LATE RETURNS

Up to 48 hours late: €50. Beyond 48 hours: €100 per additional 7-day period.

Late return fees apply automatically.

11. CONDITION & RETURN

Equipment must be returned clean and in original condition. All accessories must be returned. Cleaning, repair, or missing item charges may apply.

12. DEFAULT & RECOVERY

If the Renter:

Fails to return equipment, fails to pay charges, breaches these terms.

R-REC reserves the right to:

Charge additional fees, recover equipment, charge full replacement value, take legal action if necessary.

13. LIABILITY & INDEMNITY

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:

R-REC is not liable for injury, damage, or loss resulting from equipment use. The Renter agrees to indemnify R-REC against all claims, damages, or legal actions.

14. TERMINATION

R-REC reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement immediately if:

Equipment is misused

Safety concerns arise

Terms are breached

15. GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland and relevant consumer legislation, including the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980.

16. ACCEPTANCE

By renting equipment from R-REC, the Client confirms that they:

Have read and understood this policy.

Agree to all terms.

Accept full responsibility for the equipment.
